Inspiring Exhibits at Beck
In collaboration with the Lakewood/Rocky River Rotary Club, Beck Center hosts the 68th Annual Music, Speech and Visual Arts Contest. This longstanding competition welcomes talented students from five area high schools who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of music, speech and visual arts. The participating high schools are Lakewood High School, Lutheran High School West, Magnificat High School, Rocky River High School, and St. Edward High School.
Selected entries from the visual arts contest will be on display in the Jean Bulicek Galleria from March 15 through April 15. As always, our exhibits are free and open to the public during regular gallery hours. Call Beck Center Customer Service at 216.521.2540, x10.
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
To promote Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March, an art exhibit of works by individuals served by Hattie Larlham is now on display in Beck Center's Music-Armory and Creative Arts Buildings through the beginning of June. For more than 50 years, Hattie Larlham has been dedicated to creating opportunities and improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities in Northeast Ohio.
