Norman Drake - Childs PortraitWhile working as a graphic designer at American Greetings, Norman also enjoyed dabbling in photography as well as portraiture. As computer technology grew in the creative industry, Norm experimented with painting on a digital canvas, enjoying a wider spectrum of color with the ability to design his own paint brushes. At an art director’s request, he experimented with digital painting of scenes and portraits.

This became an inspiration of a second career as a digital illustrator with the creation of creating beautiful paintings and portraits for his clients.

to B or not to B by LesiakVal Lesiak graduated of Baldwin-Wallace College with a major in Art and Education. Fortune brought her to American Greetings where she worked as a designer for over 35 years, working with such notables as Tom Wilson, the creator of Ziggy. She also had the opportunity to work on many projects through the years including the Care Bears. From conventional to cute and humorous designing, greeting cards filled her world.

Val retired in September 2012 to continue with her other business of with her husband Norman, play with her new grandson, and to have fun designing whimsical letters of the alphabet, as well as other fun designs as part of Picture Book Studio.
