Join Beck Center in the 25th annual Parade the Circle!

Theme: It’s Surreal Life

Surrealism:Parade the Circle 2011 005 A style of art that uses fantastic images and incongruous juxtapositions in order to represent unconscious thoughts and dreams

Join the Beck Center as we once again proudly “Parade the Circle” on Saturday, June 14, 2014

Beck Center will offer a series of workshop dates for families & friends of the Beck Center community who would like to participate in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s 2014 parade extravaganza!

The workshops will focus on creating, MASKS, HEAD PIECES, COSTUMES and LARGE PUPPETS, some to wear and some to walk with, inspired by The Surrealist artists: some examples being, Salvador Dali, Magritte and Joan Miro, We use recycled materials, wire and paper Mache and our imaginations.

Please join our visual arts staff in creating unique works of art and sharing them with the community at Parade the Circle and Lakewood's 4th of July parades!

  • Workshop Schedule: Sundays, 3:30p.m.-5:30p.m.
  • Please Note: These are ongoing work sessions February 16, through June 14 (weekly participation is not mandatory)
  • Parade Organization Day: June 8, 2014, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Cost is $30 per person, (includes $6 for Parade Registration
  • Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
