Art of Dialysis artworkBeck Center for the Arts will host an artists’ reception from 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 for their latest art therapy exhibit, The Arts of Dialysis. This exhibit is on display in the Ken Beck Gallery of Beck Center’s Main Building through January 4, 2015. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

Featured within this show are works created during art therapy sessions at Cleveland Clinic Shaker Rehabilitation Center Pediatric Dialysis and adult dialysis at Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center. “We are thrilled to continue collaborating with the Arts and Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic,” said Beck Center’s Director of Education Ed Gallagher, MT-BC. The artwork on display represents the artists’ journey as both dialysis patients and creative individuals.

It is the artists’ hope that those who see the exhibit will find the same enrichment and inspiration the artists experienced themselves. “This exhibit represents the expressions and creativity of individuals served by The Clinic who have received the positive impact of art therapy,” remarked Gallagher.
