Parade the Circle Workshops

Sundays, February 15 - June 7 | 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Weekly participation encouraged but not mandatory. See below.

This year's theme is ONCE UPON A PARADE

Join Beck Center for these hands-on workshops to create a fun and family-friendly group entry for the 26th annual Parade the Circle on Saturday, June 13! Parade the Circle is organized by the Cleveland Museum of Art and is the largest art parade in the region. Beck Center has been a proud participant since 2007.

Over the course of 16-weeks, participants receive instruction from Beck Center Visual Arts faculty in designing and creating wearable works of art. Basic materials and supplies sufficient to create an art costume are provided, but additional supplies may be purchased by the participants at their discretion. All costumes need to be related to the theme in some way.

Participants are encouraged to attend all workshops, 3:30-5:30pm Sundays, Feb. 15 - June 7, but attendance every week is not mandatory. Mandatory participation is required for the first workshop (Feb. 15), the last workshop (June 7), and Parade the Circle on June 14 (coordinate at 10am and Parade at noon). Participants are invited to to be a featured entry in the City of Lakewood 4th of July parade.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult registered for Parade the Circle. Cost is $50; Course #3525.
