Description:  This class functions as an introduction to recent American playwrights, focusing on a range of works that have been staged since the mid-1970's to see how these writers have engaged an American audience in terms of subject matter and method.

More About The Instructor: Dan Riordan is a graduate of the NEOMFA in Cleveland, Ohio. His work has been published in Indiana Review, Hayden's Ferry Review, and many others, and has been listed as notable in Best American Nonrequired Reading. He is the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award and teaches creative writing at Cleveland State University.
