Early Childhood

Early Childhood Catalog - Winter/Spring

We are proud to offer early childhood arts education classes for children and their caregivers as an introduction to the arts. Our students, from newborns to six years old, are provided experiences in each arts discipline – dance, music, theater, and visual arts – in developmentally appropriate contexts. Classes encourage play, creativity, cooperation, attention, and provide caregivers with activities to continue at home.

Early Childhood ABC
This class is ideal for PTA groups, preschool field trips, play dates, or special family time. Each of three areas will be sampled each date:

  • Music/Movement: Singing, instrument playing, movement, and listening activities
  • Theater: Introduction to theater games, pantomime, and storytelling
  • Visual Arts: A multimedia experience with a take-away activity

Dalcroze Eurhythmics
Children are encouraged to learn music through the original instrument – the human body. Each class incorporates creative movement as a means of learning skills such as rhythm, listening, singing, and motor coordination. These classes allow the student to grow into music education through age 9 and are recommended as a stepping-stone and compliment to learning an instrument.
