Beck Center Youth Theater

Mackey Main Stage

Based on the universally popular poetry of T.S. Eliot, Cats tells the story in song and dance of the annual gathering of Jellicle cats when one special cat is selected to ascend to the Heaviside layer. From the composer of The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, and Jesus Christ Superstar, this landmark show is pure entertainment from start to finish. A true musical theater phenomenon, Cats ran for a record-setting 21 years in London and more than 18 years on Broadway.

In collaboration with Beck Dance Workshop, this production of the internationally renowned, award-winning musical will feature 80 students ages 6 to 19 from Beck's arts education programs.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, with 3 p.m. matinees on Sunday, May 15 and Saturday, May 21. The 10 a.m. student matinee performance on Thursday, May 19 is sold out.
