LIVE PERFORMANCE FAQ

Dear Beck Center patrons,

Effective as of March 10, 2022, changes have been made to our Frequently Asked Questions - see below for the Beck Center Education FAQ.

Q: Do I need to show a COVID-19 vaccination card or a negative COVID-19 test result to attend an in-person live performance at Beck Center?

No

Q: Do you strongly recommend masks inside the theaters?

Masks are strongly recommended by all audience members attending all dance, music, or theater performances. This is for the safety of audience members who are unable to socially distance in performance spaces.

Q: Which negative COVID-19 test results do you accept?

We no longer require this.

Q: Are the actors vaccinated?

YES. All professional theater actors performing in our productions have been vaccinated, for your safety, theirs, and in accordance with AEA regulations. This applies to crew, designers, musicians, stage hands, and to those actors who are not members of Actor’s Equity Association. Actors are tested for COVID weekly.

Q: I purchased my tickets before these policies were announced. What can I do if I have additional questions, or I want to see what my options are now?

We are happy to exchange your ticket for another performance or provide you a refund depending on what works best for you, our valued patron. Please contact Customer Service at 216-521-2540 prior to your performance to make arrangements. Thank you for your purchase!

EDUCATION FAQ

Q: What are the mask recommendations for classes?

Masks are strongly recommended in all classrooms, studios, public spaces, and Beck Center offices by all patrons, students, family members, guests, faculty and staff – regardless of vaccination status.

Q: What are the mask recommendations for live Education performances?

Masks are strongly recommended by all audience members attending all dance, music recitals, or youth theater performances.

Q: Will there be exceptions to masks strongly recommended in Education classes or rehearsals?

Yes, there may be sometimes when masks are required – especially during rehearsals or performances. These changes will be communicated directly from the production team.

Q: Will Beck Center ever require masks in non-performance spaces again?

Beck Center will continue to discuss policies and procedures on a regular basis. We may return to masks required if the seven-day case rate per 100,000 residents of Cuyahoga County rises above 150 and/or the seven-day test positivity rate is over 10% in county. We will also consider the dashboards of the public schools from which our students attend. This and other recommendations by governing local, state, and national organizations such as the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Department of Education, and the CDC will be considered.

Q: When will this be updated?

Beck Center will review and update the policy on a monthly basis.
